When you go on vacation your corals will say (show me the light) and when you get back they will thank you. No need to feed.

Do you have a skimmer? A skimmer will help but you will likely be ok without the water changes for those three weeks. A lot of people do every other week or monthly changes.

True. Do you have an automatic top off with a reservoir big enough to handle three weeks of evaporation?

For my $.02, I only feed my LPS when I think of it so every 3 weeks would be absolutely no problem in my tank.

Definitely don't need to be fed..
I second that you should focus on making the tank bullet proof for those 3 weeks vs worried about feeding. Making sure you have all the kinks worked out including a reliable Ato with enough water to last the trip. I would not do anything new to the tank it's not used to the day before or the day of your trip just in case it reacts different and your not there to catch it.. What about fish? Do you have someone to feed your fish for that time? Having a person to check on it is probably the most reliable thing to do but could also be a bad thing if they aren't aware of the do's and dont's of the tank in general. Imo people are more likely to overfeed and cause problems if they are left to make all the decisions not realising it's not needed or in the best interest of the tank. So giving advice, rules and portions of food to be fed to your sitter is a important step if you are going that route.

I think it would be worth your while to hire a local fish store guy to check on your tank. You could always have the neighbor let him in and then lock up afterwards. It's the safest bet if you have a LFS near you.

Wow, that is insane. A three week trip would have cost us here in Seattle, $225, for 2x a week we get ....food ,water topoff, 1 water change, and maintenance with a loaner auto feeder for pellets and flakes. Luv Seattle !
