Post Power supply for reef tank

Hey all, I'm new to the reef tank scene. I have been researching for the past few months on all appliances I will be needing and am wondering whats the best way to go about supplying power.

I have purchased the aquarium & cabinet and want to setup my electrical layout first up.

I have seen that people use a DJ Power supply unit so that you can turn Equipment On/Off individually! What are your thoughts on this method?

Advice from personal experience would be much appreciated.

Cheers, Chris.

So it would be best to maybe go with the extension lead like below with switches for each individual plug rather than hard wiring in!

Either way whatever setup I decide to use it will be installed in the highest point of the cabinet
