China's "Tank of the Month!"
Hi everyone,
This is the amazing "Tank of the Month" winner from China, after he won the TOTM from China Marine Forum, my friend wants to take it to the higher level and participate in the Reef Central TOTM (a few month later), he couldn't write English, so as a friend I would help him write the threads about his tank. This is just to show everyone how the tank is right now, please vote for him in the future! If there is any suggestions, we would love to hear it! As you know Reef Central is an international Reef Fish Forum, it be great to learn from experts all around the world! Thanks! |

I believe this is where you should start a thread to nominate someone's tank for TOTM http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/fo...play.php?f=189
As people mentioned in your other thread I do not think there are major rules, but I believe the owner should be an activate member, meaning participate in the forums (maybe I'm wrong). The tank looks amazing, learning more about it and his techniques would be very beneficial for everyone. |

Yes, in order to be eligible to be nominated for RC's TOTM, he needs to be an active, participating member of Reef Central.
Nice tank though.Very colorful!

Love the wrasses. Maybe he could use a screentop to prevent them from jumping? Wow look at the acro growing out of the water. Very nice.
What's he dosing? Equipments? Etc. |

I'm not very sure about his equipments, many of them are Chinese brands, all I know is that he is using a T5 for lighting.

Thank for the support, I heard that he would be adding Blotched Anthies, Blue Line Tamarin Wrasse, and a few rare zoas. He gets all the money by selling coral frags!

Wow, your friend has a beautiful tank! I love the colours and the coralscape. His tank truly deserves TOTM recognition.
But I feel that TOTM is as much about the recognition of an individuals success as is about sharing with the community what made it possible to achieve the success; hence I would want to learn as much as possible about any TOTM and be able to ask questions and have them answered. One way that you can help this thread is by taking as MANY PHOTOS of equipment etc as possible. For example, take a photo of his light, his sump/skimmer/doser/calcium reactor etc. Take a photo of the additives/supplements he uses etc. I would like to know: 1. How many T5's tubes is he using? What is the T5 combo? Ie how many blue /white tubes etc? How many hours does he run the T5's? 2. Did the tank start with Liverock? If so, how many lbs/kg of liverock? 3. Does the tank run on additional biological filtration such as Zeovit/carbon dosing etc? 4. Does he run a Calcium Reactor or Dose 2/3part like Balling Lite etc? 5. Any other additives used? Like Amino Acids etc? 6. Does he run Phosphate remover? 7. Does he use GAC/Carbon? 8. How much weekly water changes? Many thanks. If your friend has any Youtube videos of his tank, please provide link. |

Just to let you know, we couldn't use youtube in China. And all the questions you've asked I will try to answer them as soon a possible. He is really busy right now, and it would take a while to answer our questions.

He doesn't put his zoas in the main tank, he collects all different kinds of them in his algae tank.
