Question Spray paint for PVC pipes on the inside of a reef tank.

Hi guys, I've been looking online for a spray paint for my PVC pipes that will be on the inside of my tank. I've read all about the krylon spray paint, but unfortunately I cant find anywhere in the UK that stocks this...
Is there a UK equivalent to this krylon fusion?
The pipes and bulkheads I have are grey and I want to paint them black to blend with the background and overflow box.

I just found it on ebay for sale over there. Maybe that is an option.

I've just looked on ebay and I can only find the 'krylon camouflage' rather than the 'krylon fusion' is there a difference or not? Thanks.

I did not find krylon fusion at my local home depot, and ended up getting a different brand and worked just fine. but in the end, it did not matter once coraline covered the pipe.

I used krylon spray on my PVC pipes and I will never paint the inside of my tank ever again. in less than a year it started to chip and I had little black chips of paint floating all over the tank.

This is true, it will eventually be pink and purple no matter what color it starts as.

I have the same problem, did you scuff or sand the pipe at all before painting? I didnt, and Im betting that if I did, it wouldnt look so bad now.

I was going to say, paint will not chip if applied properly. even if it chips, (other than it may not look the way you want it) the paint chips are not harmful since they are reef safe.

I did not. Might be a good idea to sand it.

You may not have to paint the pvc pipe.
Have you seen this?

I've ordered the spray paint now I know the coralline will take over any way, but I want everything looking good until it eventually grows.
How I wish we had a BRS over here in the UK!

Never had an issue with Krylon Fusion. It will work with smooth surfaces without sanding or priming. Chipping could be a result of spraying too much (as with any other spray paint). You'll want to apply multiple very thin coats, let them dry per instructions, then apply the next coat. Shake the can for 1 full minute before use. Also, make sure the can is at the right temperature (air temp doesn't really matter). Putting the can in warm (or cold) water for a few minutes before spraying works.
