Thinking about par 38 bulbs for my 30 long
I need to find a light for my 36x13x16, and I was thinking about using 2 par 38 bulbs on goosenecks. It's a mantis shrimp tank, and will have soft corals and macro algae. Will 2 bulbs be enough cover?
What's the best place to get these? |

I would suggest three to four PAR 38 LED's.
I'm using five standard 5000K PAR 38 LED's from HD and Lowes suspended ~12" over a 40B 36"x18"x16"h. Doing just fine with SPS, (acro's, monti's, etc., etc…), T. maxima clam and a new carpet anemone. http://www.homedepot.com/p/Philips-1...79Z15bZ1z0u18w http://www.lowes.com/pd_150661-75774...led&facetInfo= The Philips has more of a blue-pinkish daylight color and the Utilitec has a more greenish color daylight, i found a 3(philips) to 2(utili) mix more to my liking. |
