Will my clownfish hurt my nem?
Hi everyone,
I've had a small bubble tip anemone in my tank for about a week and a half now and two days ago I bought a small(ish) tomato clown with the hopes that it would host the nem. The nem is about three or four inches across when its fully expanded during the day and the clown is about two inches long (but well fed and fat). After acclimating the clown via drip for about a half hour, I plopped him in the tank and took the dog for a walk. When I got back he was already romping around in the anemone. At first I was really happy that he had started hosting so quickly but now I'm a bit worried for the anemone. The clownfish hasn't left it even to eat since he found it and hes constantly rolling around and shifting. So my question is, Is it possible for a clownfish thats too big to smother a small nem, or "hassle" it to the point where it could hurt the nem? the clownfish looks really happy to be in the nem but i wonder if the nem feels the same haha |

Hmm, thats pretty small, I would prefer the nem to be at least 3-4x the size of the clown, but nem looks ok in pic.
If it begins to withdraw or anything you can place a strawberry basket to block the clown until the nem grows, until then feed some mysis maybe to help promote growth.
