Hair Algae grows on snails?
Will hair algae grow on dwarf cerith snails? I seem to be getting an outbreak and a lot of the strands seem to start on cerith snail shells.

Yes, algae will grow on snail and hermit shells. That's when this sort of thing happens

Algae will grow on pretty much everything if conditions are right. Last edited by cloak; 06/27/2014 at 05:55 PM. |

Algae is growing on my return nozzle. If it can take root there and grow, then it can grow almost anywhere.
