Lighting Effect
On one of the forums I check out, there was a post about lighting that creates a shimmering effect in your tank. Has anyone else seen this? I cant remember what the name of it was tho...sorry. Thanx in advance

Metal hallides create shimmer effect as do most LED's. The higher end LED's create more shimmer than the lower end ones. Kessils create great shimmer effects as do Radion's, Pac Sun, etc. My older Reeftech LED's also create great shimmer. The key is a real bright light and lots of surface agitation.

But you may be able to get a little shimmer by adding some led strip lights. How much, i have no idea. Just a thought. T5/LED combo lights are just now hitting the market. Might be worth looking into to see if anyone is getting noticeable shimmer with these.

You could add a one or two LED stunner strips and will have a small amount of shimmer.
