New 38g tank advice

Hello guys I'm new here I purchased a 38g tank about 2 weeks ago and have had it running for 10 days. I have about 20 pounds of live sand 36 pounds of live rock in it now I have a marine land c-220 canister filter rated for 55 gal I have a 295gph power headed ordered a 580gph one on its way. I have a t5 coral life light on it 2 bulb. I also put bacteria to accelerate the cycle. I'm planning to get corals, anemone, 2 clowns a royal gramma and coral beauty I know I have to introduce them slowly and not planning on introducing any yet. I want to get a cleaning crew first once tank it cycled. How do I know when my tank is cycled? I also introduced a damsel for the cycle process my lfs told me I should and now I've read that it's bad on the fish! I took my water for testing this weekend had a bit of ammonia and no nitrites or nitrates also my live rock seems to be getting some brown on it? Any advice would be highly appreciated it's my first tank. When I started I used well water and the Salt mix they sell . What should my water temp be? What other stuff should I but if wanted to be a reef in the future? What fish and coral to introduce first? Advise please thank you guys
