Reefbreeder blue LEDs vs Moon lighting

I'm sure I already have the answer, but are the blues on my LEDs (Reefbreeders) too powerful to be left on all night? Is it bad for my tank to leave mine on all night, or should I just invest in getting some Moon lighting? Thanks.

Tony

Are you running a photon? Below a setting of 10 on the blue channel are actually moon lights, different from the blues at 10 and above.

I have the reefbreeders also. I do a small ramp up and down of the blues through the night, and as mentioned above I don't exceed 9 for the moon cycle.

No, no photon. I'm just worried that running the blues all night might be too much, and won't allow time for my tank to "sleep". I have to adjust my breeders by hand.

I only have experience with the Photon. Maybe someone else will chime in. Id also reccomend posting in the reefbreeders forum, I'm sure they can give you some direction.

On a non-Photon unit full blues (assume you are not going to adjust the dial each night and morning) is TOO much for moonlights.

Get separate moonlights
