should I change Light times...?
so right now I have a 60in 6 bulb ati 60...I have 3 coral + and 3 blue +....I have to 2 bank come on at 8am then off at 7pm...I have the rest of the set come on at 11am then off at 4pm.
I am wanting the lights to come on later. So during the day when it is hotter the lights don't contribute to the heat...and so I can see the tank when I get home from work...would I be able to just change the light time with no ill affect..? and if I do how long should I have the 2 bank on..? 10hrs..? more or less...then have the others come on and off 1 hr before and after that...? I know this has been talked over a million times...I just can't stand reading through every ones post...and compare to what I need. thank you

Like everything in reeling make small changes..... Push the light schedule up 30 min every over day or so until you get them to come on at the time of day you want.

So I would be safe to assume that the lights do not have to come on in the morning and off at night...I would like them on at like 2 and off at 11 or 12...The only thing I am not sure of is the tank will get regular light from the windows before the lights come on...would that be to much light during the course of 1 day..?

My tank get light from the windows starting from around 8am. That's the reason I push back my light schedule. I have a radion that starts on a very low setting from 11am them a pair of t5 turn on at 2pm. The radion reaches it's peak at 5pm. The t5 goes off at 8pm and then the radion gradually goes out at around 10pm.
Like mentioned above, if I were in your situation I would do it in 30 minute increments as well.
