Corals Closing Up

Hello,

I have a 50 gallon tank with a 20 gallon sump. I recently purchased a LPS elegance coral that was doing great. However lately it seems to be doing quite poorly and doesn't open up at all during the day. It is on sand, away from rocks and has low water movement (which is what my LFS suggested). My water parameters all seem pretty good. 1.024 salinity, 80 degree F water, PH=8.2, DKH=11, Calcium=430, and zero nitrates and phosphates. All of my other corals seem to be doing fine...

Thank you for any advice or ideas of why it might be doing this.
Cheers!

To be expected with elegance corals. Their success rate is slim to none.

This ones from Australia. Are Australian ones still difficult to grow? And it is a relatively new setup. About 8 months old.

How long have you had it? Have you direct fed it?

I have had it for about 3 weeks. I've tried to feed it Mysis shrimp a couple times.

Mine was extending well and eating well for a few weeks after being brought it home, I relocated my power heads and it didn't seem to like the new amount of flow as it stopped opening so large. A minor tweak on the power head and re-seat the coral to make sure the tissue was not pinched in the sand and all was good.

I feed my tank brine, mysis with the main pump off and some is caught. I have spot fed it silverside chunks (deboned) and scallops and it seems happy. I'm not sure if I have Indo or Aussie.
