Mr-c4848 skimmer experience

Hi I wanted to know if anyone has any experience with these large skimmers? I have a 135g, 150g and 240g. I wanted to connect them all to one system. I read a post saying that these large skimmers were obsolete, if so are there any other options I should consider? Any problems with Beckett skimmers I should be looking for? I was looking at the older 6 foot tall versions

Beckett's arn't obsolete , just the people who use little tiny cone skimmers for large systems LOL!
The beckett's require a much larger pump to drive them and little more maintenace but otherwise they work real well.
I don't know your budget but if I were to step up to a better skimmer that will handle what you have for gallonage it would be the MTC Mazzei recirculatiung counter current skimmer ...these are very well made and will outform ANY cone and or pinwheel design's out there and are made in new jersey...service is excellent !
