silly filtration question
So I have been out of the hobby for a while now, and have a silly question. Other then a protein skimmer, filter sock, and loads of live rock/sand, and refugium, are there any other filtration methods that are common or recommended for a sps/mixed reef? I am setting up a 250g and have all the above mentioned. I was looking into UV, but decided that I didn't think it would be worthwhile. I plan on doing a 50g water change weekly....I was in the hobby about 5 years ago, but sold my tank for college money :[ I am getting back into it now that my life is more stable $$ and just asking for some advice. Thanks!

I would look into Two Little Fishes (TLF) reactor to control phosphates.

Read up on carbon dosing. It helps keep nitrates and phosphates down.
