Actinic Bulb Wattage
I'm going to replace my actinic bulbs and I was wondering if I increase the wattage on them if it would make it colors in the tank brighter?
I current have a 90 gal tank, 24" deep with two compact 24w bulbs. |

you will have better bulb color options and better penetration if you went with T5s for your actinics...

If you increase the bulb wattage you may have to change the ballast. Make sure you research that.

Will do, is there any advantage of going with a higher wattage?

there wont be much difference in color if thats what you think will happen while increasing wattage. if its still the same brand actinic pc bulb just a higher wattage. then the over all look will be no different...
