Cupramine and water changes

As the title states I have a question about treating with copper and the ability to do small water changes. My fish recently got ick and so I moved them to a rather new 10 gallon qt tank. There are 3 fish all under 3 inches, but I'm still worried there isn't enough bioload and filtration so I want to do a small water change. Would this then mess with the copper concentration in the tank I would assume so. Then what do you do?

Thanks in advance

You would want to add copper to the water you are adding back in so it is the same concentration as is in the tank. This way you can keep a constant copper concentration.
