Any T5 Zoo Med reviews?
I'm looking at bulbs for my tank and trying to stay cheap. Anyone tried the German made Zoo Med T5's? How would you compare them to the expensive competitors?

Not a lot of bulb choices. If you have a softie tank, you might be ok.

You think they're no good for LPS? I need them to be bright.

Personally I'd stick with ati.

The Zoo Med T5's are like a Year Old if that.
I am not going to Risk my Corals with a Company that Only Makes Reptile Products. ATI has been around a long long time and is Proven to Grow Coral. They give off a ton of PAR. There is no reason to use any other Bulbs. They are the best hands down. That is the reason that everyone uses them. Hope that helps. |

I was, however, hoping for some more concrete evidence (or even good anecdotal evidence) about Zoo Meds bulbs. They are made in Germany and are about 60% cheaper then ATI. I was hoping that only those who had personal experience with them would post on here. I didn't ask the question: Which bulbs should I use? I asked specifically if anyone had any reviews on Zoo Med bulbs. I'm sure you understand. |

I didn't know until your post that Zoo Med made bulbs for fish tanks, thought that they only made reptile products. Personally I wouldn't take a chance with them, not enough bulbs options & I've never heard anything about them.
