who has used advanced acrylics tanks before?

I recently purchased a tank from advanced acrylics. All in all they have a pretty good reputation but I'm curious as to who here has a tank from them. So let's hear what you have to say and any pictures of your tanks. Thanks in advance!

i bought a sump from them. it took 3 months longer than they said it would, was quick to respond to pre sale emails but once they had my money it would take days and sometimes weeks to respond. The final product was flawless but not worth the aggravation and delays.

That's unfortunate to hear. Luckily mine is already made. I'm hoping it doesn't take them 3 months to ship it ha glad to hear the final product was good though.

I'm on my phone and can't do a search, but there are several threads on RC warning about this company. They seem to be awesome for local customers and spotty otherwise. I recall one horror story of a sump that didn't arrive near schedule and when it did show up it wasn't finished and leaked like a sieve.

Edit - here you go: http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/sh...vance+acrylics

Or just google advanced acrylics you'll see all of the reviews. What size tank did you buy that he had it ready to go?

9 gallon AIO frag set up. As long as it ships well and holds water I'll be happy enough. I was debating building my own and I still might but I'm interested to see how these are.

The tank came in today. Looks pretty slick. Still need to water test and check it out but so far so good.

Advanced Acrylics in California?

He definitely does great work, but sometimes takes on too many jobs at once. Like most have said, you either have a great experience with him or a horrible one.

Luckily, he is somewhat local to me, so I've never had a problem.

Let's see the tank!
