need a custom sump built
Does anyone know where I can have a custom sump built for my 130gal, I want a sump/refugium and still have room for a top off container and 3 compartment dosing reservoir, I contacted the usual companies with either no called back, or they can't do it until jan, etc.and I would like to have it sooner

I was going to suggest Jeff at Lifereef, but I think he's into January for his list already. I have a system coming in December sometime. In the meantime I am just getting all my other items together.

Check out www.oceansbydesign.com. They did a custom sump for me with a built in reservoir for alk and calc, built in holders for heaters and float switches. The price was reasonable and turnaround time was 2 weeks. I would stay away from their reactors though. Mine leaked, they sent replacements that leaked to. I just went back to what I was using.

+1 for Elite Aquatics. They are custom, fairly priced and the turn around is usually around 4 weeks.

You might try local plastic fabricators. Friend of mine owns a plastics shop and they have university's and local aquarists coming to them to build custom stuff even though they don't advertise themselves as building tanks and sumps.

Sumps are really easy to build from acrylic. I did mine myself from 1/4" sheet. I'd probably use 3/8" if I did it again. Figure out how the panels will fit together, order them precut & squared from your local plastics supplier, and just glue them together with Weldon. The whole thing will cost like $200.
Make sure you find out how accurately the supplier can cut the panels. Most now have NC machines so getting it +/- .030" is pretty common. If you are handy with a table saw, you can cut the panels yourself and save some bucks.
