what are these worm/chiton looking things coming from my paly?

I got this frag about a month ago and noticed that around all the polyps was a fuzzy looking mat. I thought it was just part of the coral but it has been growing and spreading down the live rock very fast. No polyps have been budding from it and I tried scraping it but it has encrusted on. I never see it actually move, it just slowly grows. I cant find anything online about what it is.

Looks like colonial tunicates. If so, they are harmless and beneficial. Your lucky to have them. I have a mass of them around the base of my hammer.
