What light to buy
What light should I get?
What would be the best light for my innovative marine 30 gallon tank? I've done research but would love to hear what you all have to say. Price isn't that much of an option but just want to hear some opinions. Thanks guys. |

I've always liked the way Kessil's look on nano's. I have 2 xr30w's and I love everything about them. Ecotech just came out with the radion mounting system for their lights which are ok. I believe it's more expensive going the Ecotech route, so I'd choose kessil.

If you want to save some money, a viable option is the Ocean Revive s06. It has worked well in my 28. Under $200.

I like the AquaIlluminations Hydra 26 for your tank.

I own the largest orbit marine light. It is a nice light, I have had it 2 months. I am now building my own LED fixture to go along with the orbit marine so I have enough light to run a mixed reef. I was initially going to do a FOWLR. The orbit marine is not enough light for my tank.

Best option for that tank IMHO is a Kessil. You get fantastik shimmer. Great color and depth with this LED. The only drawback is the noise this light makes. A constant WHIZZZZ from the fan. I would best describe it as a macbook pro when watching youtube videos for more than hour.

$100 8 Bulb T5

I put one over my 29 Biocube. Currently only using 4 bulbs. The LEDs pop even with lights on. |
