Good algae eatin blenny

I want opinions on a peaceful algae eatin Blenny. I have hair algae in my tank and I know the whole saying nutrients lights all that good stuff. The thing is I don't mind it it's not outta control and to be honest it kinda gives rock a cool look when not outta control. But I want a new fish for my 40b so I figure hey why not get something that'll snack on it since it's there anyways. As of right now lots of LPS zoa shrooms acan favia and for live stock I have 2 b/w ocellaris, royal gramma, and mandarin. Any ideas of good Blenny would be greatly apreciated.

I have heard that the black sailfin blenny makes for a good GHA eater. One time I saw a very small black blenny that the guy at my LFS said made for a great algae eater. He called it a 'dragon blenny' and it was very pretty but quite small. Maybe that specific one was a juvenile.

Blennies are more detritus eaters. Detritus tends,to accumulate on and in algae and that's what they're going after. They will eat different types of film algae and diatoms and stuff, and of course anything you put in the tank. If you're looking for something to eat hair algae, get a dolabella sea hare.

But, Blennies are one of my favorite fish, I'd get one anyway 😀

+1 to starry blennies. They eat anything and will graze algae off glass, rocks, and sand. Mine is a complete pig. They also are quite humorous.
