Blue mushroom not growing!
Hey,
I had this blue mushroom for about 2 and a 1/2 months now. But it doesn't get any bigger, it's the same exact size that when I first got it. I have other green mushrooms and ricordea mushrooms I got at the same time. They have grown and multiplied in to two, both of them. But this blue mushroom isn't growing. Do you guys know why? |

Sometimes they just take a bit to settle in, but keeping them under lower light might help if that one's too high up in the tank. It looks pretty closed up imo...

I have a small rock of blue shrooms that never seem to grow no matter where I keep them. I've had them for about 2-3 years and I don't think I've seen a single new shroom/growth. I've tried all the variations of light and flow I can think of but the damn things just won't grow.
I don't have amazing growth in my tank but there is definitely some. New heads of lps and visible growth on sps. I have other softies(xenia, anthelia, gsp) that seem to grow at the normal rates. But for whatever reason, shrooms grow very slowly. |

Really no growth...never really experienced that with any of my mushrooms..I remember buying just one single blue mushroom and developing over 20 on one rock I've since traded that rock but I've had different types of rics split and currently have a Yuma that is currently leaving trails on a rock... I'm sure yours will take off just a matter of time.

oh just a quick update! I tried moving it and actually it came off the rock! Placed it on the very bottom close to sand however it got lose and went around to the side of my tank and it found itself a spot where there is very low light and now it's at the bottom attached to a rock on the sand! I will wait and see if it gets any bigger!

it looks like its getting a little bit too much light honestly and thats why it flew away. You don't need much light for those.

That's true now it's in a almost shaded spot! But it only got little bigger than before though may be like 1 cm.

Don't worry, in a year you'll be posting up a thread about how to get rid of your 400 blue mushrooms
