Orange cyano?
Hi guys. I've set up numerous reef tanks and have seen the normal red/maroon, and green varieties of cyano but is there such a thing as orange cyano? I know its not diatoms and for that matter diatoms are more of a brown color. The patch I have is localized to a 2x3 inch section of only one rock and the color as best as I could describe it is a deep orange...almost like a ricordia orange but deeper, and it is growing like a thick mat/film like cyano would. I haven't tried touching it or trying to remove it so I cant tell you anything about texture or how easily it is removed but was hoping that before I stick my hands in the tank maybe someone would have some insight.....By the way the tank is newer...maybe 2-3 months old right now...give or take.

It is possible. I have had it before in a rust color. Good luck
