Rock Curing...

Got the rock on Wednesday. Soaked in RODI overnight. Changed water.

Dosed both bins with SeaKlear on Friday.

Tested water with Hanna checker Low Range just now.

Bin 1 = 0.02
Bin 2 = 0.05

I guess I will start soaking in saltwater.

Are you starting a new tank or is it going into an exsiting tank? If it's a new tank build I would put it in the new set up and get the tank cycling!

im assuming its an existing tank because if it wasn't you could have started right away. I think its time to start soaking in saltwater. You should dose the tub with some phosphate remover a day before you put this in your tank.

It's a new tank. i can't cure it in the tank as the tank isn't ready. Need to install my overflow box, my elbows, and test the plumbing before I move it into the house. I spent about $1,000 this week, just need sand and my lights and will be ready.

I added some salt to the brute containers, and will by starting the bacteria buildup off the decaying matter.

Just tested 3 containers with Hanna LR tester.

0.12

Dosed with a capful of SeaKlear. Will redose tonight. 100 packs of reagent on the way on Tuesday.
