A few corals fading
I am at a loss here. I have one small rock of zoas, about 5 heads of duncan and now a big rock of gsp not doing well. Zoas are almost gone, duncan has lost most heads and 3/4 of gsp is opening. I am not sure if my levels are off. If they are, can anyone tell me how to get them where they need to be?

What do you add to the tank (additives) and how do you measure your salinity? Also, how big of a tank and how old?

I dont dose or add anything. I run gfo in a reactor. I measure salinity with a refractometer. Tank is 65g with 20g sump. It has been up for a year and a half.

Maybe your lighting is too intense for those corals.

I have chinese leds kinda like reef breeders, but just whites and blues. Whites at 50%, blues at maybe 80%. They dont seem that strong and the light doesnt seem that blue either. The light is hung about 10 inches above water and tank is 24inches tall.

all your params are a little low but I would not think that would not bother these corals. Either too much light or not enough food in the water column. I would think with the fish load you would be OK with food in the water column so that leaves only the lighting. Turn down 20% and see what happens over a week.

Update!
I think it may have been the lighting, but still too late for the zoas and duncans. The duncans all browned over. I blew the stuff off, but they eventually all died. The zoas are even moved to under a shade from the other rocks, but no change. I think I see maybe one or two zoas left, but not opening. The gsp is improving though. It is opening up more and slowly covering the rock again in polyps. I have my blues at 50 and whites at 40%.

Have you maybe just been messing with it all too much? I have killed quite a few coral from just moving it a ton when i first bought it.

I have one powerhead. Jebao wp-40 on lowest setting sitting towards top in back-right corner pointing a little up and towards front-left corner.
I have not touched either of the three corals in a long time before the problems started.
