Are you planning for a skimmer? I am in the process of building a 60g cube too. Myabe the SCA-301 or Bubble Magus NA 3.5?

For sps you should have a doser or calcium reactor. Also media reactors for carbon and gfo

Looks nice! Can you list what equipment you currently have and then maybe others can advise what else you might need/want for SPS?

Also take a look at my build thread and you can see how I am planning for an SPS dominate system. T

There are some REALLY nice cubes on here, do some searching and I bet you will get tons of ideas!

So far I have 60 pounds of life sand, about 80 pounds of live rock, an hang on the back skimmer that I'm using a new one, Eshopps 100 sump, and reefbreeders photon led light.

No you do not need a doser at the moment. Spend money elsewhere for now. For the first couple months at least you can hand dose, use kalkwasser, or consistent water changes. Do you have an ato?

Nice setup.. What kind of top do you have on it? I have a 60 cube thread going, linked here if you'd like to take a look!

Definently an ATO, you can usually find a jbj on the BST forum for around 50 shipped.next to that would be a better skimer. What can you fit in the sump? If you are hard pressed for space there are many uits available around 200 that are under a 7x4 footprint

Custom? I haven't had any issues yet with mine being open, but if it didn't add much to the top I think I would consider it.

No marineland makes it. We bought it for about $30.
