Dosing pump maintenance?
I have 2 BRS 1.1ml/min dosing pumps that I have been using for probably 4 years to dose 2 part. They still seem to be going strong, but I recently took them off my old system and hope to install them on my new system this weekend. I was going to test the flow rate before I do this, but I was wondering if I should run a vinegar & water solution or hot water through them to clean the tubes? Or should I just proactively replace the internal tubing? How do you service/maintain your dosing pumps used for 2 part?

Once a year I replace the tube inside the pump.

If the tubes are still supple they shoukd be fine. But if brittle or hard the flow might have changed and replacement warranted. Good idea to recalibrate. Mine don't seem to clog at all but can't see any harm in a vinegar bath IMO.

Thanks, I assumed if the tubing can handle Alk or kalk then vinegar would do no harm but wanted to make sure.

Ive had mine for ~5 years and have done nothing to them. Cant say thats responsible, but ive had no issues. You have to realize they only run for 1 hour a day (at least in my case .
Tahnks for the reminder though. Im off for a few days now so will look into the shape of my tubings. I agree with others. If soft, nothing wrong with a vinegar bath.
