Talking New tank can you use Poland spring

I just got a new tank (30 gal) first saltwater and have been searching to see if you can use Poland spring water. Every one says why pay for spring water but I have about 30 5gal jugs so it's free. Would that be safe to use in my new saltwater tank, then let it sit testing the water?

P.S - tap water around my house is no good has tons of metal water guy said not to drink and I don't think fish should live in it!!

I would suspect that the "spring water" also has a fairly high TDS even if it is RO since most companies add back minerals to make it taste better. You can always get a TDS meter to test it.

In the long run you will want a RO system and TDS meter anyway so you might as well pay up front and get your tank running right.

A fast google search found that they contain " naturally occurring minerals" according to their website and you can get a complete analysis if you jump through several hoops. I would steer clear.

If you must buy water I'd go with a LFS (but test with a meter since some don't keep up with their filter changes) or buy distilled water.

Ro/Di water from a LFS is cheaper. And cleaner. I pay 50cents a gallon...

If you don't get your own RODI unit then you can use DISTILLED water. In condo and no way to install RODI so that's what I do. I have it delivered.
