Something wicked this way came!
obviously I am new here.
but what in the world is this? It kinda looks like a bobbit worm(unlikely), bristle worm or a large aptasia?... looks like aiptasia to me. Get rid of it. Especially the first pic.

+1. Yeah I got one just like it. I used to have dozens, then I got two peppermint shrimp. Now I have one or two growing at a time. -The shrimp will not eat all of them and cultivates it for future snacking. -Clever. . .

For Aiptasia, flamethrowers usually do the trick. Lol jk, I had a huge one and was able to kill it by mixing kalk powder with a little bit of tank water so it is really thick and using a turkey baster to squirt it on him and in his hole. Other people have had success with injecting them with boiling water or lemon juice but it could also make them mad... Just what ever you do, don't touch it with your hands because if you break him or leave any in the tank you will have dozens (or hundreds) of babies growing.

It looks like it's on your sand bed. Can you just scoop that sand out with the apptasia?
