Case study on lightning , please come in and give some of your previous advises
Dear All,
I have 2 kessil A360 WE but I just feel it is still missing some thing , I was being advise by some friend to combo it with T5 HO , and I just thinking how to add them. I plan to add 2 by 2 T5 Ho lamps on both side of my Kessil, but my kessil is hanging about 11" above water surface and since it is Wide series thus I need to also hanging high my said T5 fixture or else the T5 lamp fixture will be just blocking the lights of my kessil. I wonder how high the T5 can be hanging considering my tank depth is 60 cm or 2 feet deep. Hope to hear from you guys ! Cheers, MD

Lightning, or lighting?
Simulated Lightning: It's for humans - the animals don't need it. Lighting: Whether to add T5 is up to you - looks like you have enough light now for the animals. Height: Even with reflectors T5 spreads pretty quickly - I recommend hanging it down lower and not at the height you have your Kessils. Perhaps you could attach them on the front side and back side of your current light stand, outside of the frame down low? That would help to prevent them from blocking light from the LEDs. When I had T5 lighting, I had the fixture resting directly on the top of the tank. IMO, 3-5cm above the water is good, no more than 10cm or so.

I would add a XB Build My Led upfront, with its low profile you would not notice it as much as a two lamp T5HO. It would definitely get rid of your shadows

+1 BuildMyLED strip. Knocked out the shadowing of my MH perfectly. One strip in the front would do it. Their 20k unit looks amazing
