Recommendations on LED light setup for 10g frag tank w/ a few questions
Searched around the net quite a bit, turned up a mixed bag though. Looking for some valuable input on a decent and 'investment' like light setup. I honestly don't know whats applicable for the direction I'm going. I do not have any SPS corals at the moment but I plan on growing them out of the frag tank, have a large LPS favia colony and zoa's galore that i'd like to get fragging with from my other tank. Looking for a light setup with the most optimal rapid growth rate.
Budget is around $150 dollars, obviously looking for a full spectra light source. I am leaning towards the Radion xr15-30, or par38's (not sure exactly which bulb type for the par38's though) aquamana AQ LED-55x3w 120W, TaoTronics 165w, rapidleds? Anything worthwhile at petco that isn't a rip off? I think they might carry the par38's but I didnt know if Amazon or others would be cheaper to get them from. I Would go with a Kessil but I think that might be out of my budget for a new frag starter but if thats the most beneficial and worthwhile light please cue me in on it. Frag tanks a simple rectangle 10g aqueon. Side question, but how important is ramp up/down for a frag lighting setup? I've got an Apex setup on my Biocube with steve's leds, I just wanted to throw that out there if there is something I can intermingle with - since i've got a second v2 port open. thanks for any input. |
