Aquarium overhang

I have searched but have not found any good answers... Is it acceptable to have a tank overhang the stand by 1/2" to be perfectly flush with the outer drywall area? Tank is acrylic with the bottom sheet extending to the edge of the tank.

Thanks!

Shawn
