Exclamation Trouble connecting vortechs to reeflink

I just received my new ReefLink to control the Vortechs in my 3 tanks. I have been fighting it for hours. It does not find the Vortechs and I cannot seem to find help installing them. I press on the vortech button and nothing happens, it tries to discover them and nothing happens.

If someone has information that could help me connect my devices, I would be very grateful!

You must first upgrade your VorTechs to be compatible with EcoSmart Live. To get started, turn off all of your pumps. You will then upgrade each VorTech, one at a time. In ESL, click the Devices link at the top then click the Upgrade Legacy VorTech button on the middle-left hand side of the Devices screen. Follow the instructions to upgrade your first VorTech. After the first one is complete, you will be guided through upgrading the rest of your pumps. Please keep in mind that each pump takes roughly 3 minutes to update.

Once all three are complete and you are at the final prompt asking if you would like to update another, power on all of your pumps, then click No. At that point EcoSmart Live will discover your pumps.

Thank you for your reply, Shaun. I work all week and was afraid I would not be able to connect until Friday.

I fumbled into the Upgrade Legacy for VorTech and was able to get one of my pumps on. However, I was not able to get the 2nd one past the red and white blinking lights. I left and came back in and go to devices, nothing happens.

Thank you for your previous help. My current problem is that I didn't set my cycle maximums high enough and I can't increase the power (2 tanks) - I am seeing algae on the sand.

I am afraid to reset them. How can I increase the maximum for the cycles? If I have to reset them, how do I do that?

rower,

You are referring to the max speed of the pumps? If so, sign into ESL and click on the "VorTech" tab. From there, left click the mode you would like to change and adjust the speed. Finally, select the "Program Aquarium" button to save your changes.
