72 gallon question
Hello guys. I have a tank. It's a bowfront 72 gallon. And I am thinking about setting it up but it is not drilled. Shouldn't it be drilled? For that size? Is it worth setting up because I will have to use a overflow box right? Thanks for the help!

I think you will be very pleased if you buy an overflow kit and have the tank drilled. Will make it so much easier to have all your plumbing run under the tank if your stand is set up for it

Agreed. Down the road you'll be much happier with an overflow/sump. Make sure the glass your drilling is non tempered though.

I have a 72G cube with a sump, I think it's awesome having all my equipment (skimmer, heaters) hidden. Not to mention the extra water volume

Look up the bean animal overflow it's actually really easy to do and works perfectly. There are several online vendors that will sell you a kit to DIY.

She probably had a "hang on the back" overflow...just a box you hang on the back glass that becomes your overflow. Less equipment hanging off your tank the better

I have a 72 bowfront as well. You will be happier in the long run if you drill it.
