Once you're at 0 ammonia and then 0 nitrites the cycle is done. Add fish/bio loads slowly stil so the system can catch up after every addition

Your cycle is over. Do a big water change and your good to go.

Then add a CUC, you're going to want to just let the CUC do it's thing for a week or so as diatoms and algae start growing. Do water changes every week or two, I water change 20% every two weeks, 10% a week is probably better though less shock. Once you have your nitrates undercontrol, for me this is 5ppm or less, and the system seems to be in a holding pattern then you can add a fish. The only way to get rid of nitrate is by water change for us small tanks guys, you need to make sure you're taking more nitrate out each water change than what is produced each week. Congrats and good luck you've made it to the fun part.

I would do a 50% water change. That will bring you to 20ppm nitrates then you will be in a safe range.
