I cured100 lbs of live rock in a trash can for about 3 mouths
It went through a full cycle after about 5 weeks just as it finished the wife wanted to do a remodel of the down stairs so the tank was put on hold i just moved the tank inside and put the rock in the tank in a rush i need to pull it back out and put the sand in and scape it do you think i will have to wait again for a small cycle?

Did you have a heater and a pump in the trash can with LR during the 3 month period?

Possibly but not too long of one. I have pulled all of my rock out to rearrange a few times with no noticeable cycle. The sand may cause a small cycle and you may have some small die off but you are probably only looking at a real short cycle if you even notice one.
