Best options for Protein skimmer and ATO 30 Gal

Hello,

My protein skimmer crapped out on my RSM 130D, it was the stock model and very noisy. I am looking at the Tunze 9004 Doc, anyone have any experience with this?

Also need an ATO for this size tank, any suggestions?

No experience with the Tunze. Probably a good skimmer but I hear they are overpriced and underpowered. Probably get more bang for your buck with a different brand.

JBJ, Eshopps and Hydor all make cheap reliable ATO systems.

I say try and get a replacement Reef Spec Turbo skimmer (contact Red Sea or a retailer that carries them). Red Sea makes good products and that skimmer is made for that set-up.

ATO... Tunze assimilators are #1. I've used JBJ ATOs and they work great as well. But you need to supply your own pump.
