Peppermint shrimp dead

about 2 days ago i found my peppermint shrimp no longer as peppy (pun intended) as he used to be.

I found his molt between him and my new condy anenome about 3 inches apart from either of them. it looked as though he was huddled in a hiding spot, but could have easily gotten there from the flow in the tank.

I am not sure what got him.

is it possible an anemone could have stung him and he tried molting before the toxicity killed him?

is it possible he was molting and he got too close to the anenome?

Do they die after a while?

did he run out of food? i did add more flow and maybe there was less food settling?

I didn't think much of it, but now i am just wondering if I get another pep if it would die too.
