how to cultivate copepods?
Hi I just started a tank and have a beautiful mandarin dragonet. I was wondering what is the best way to cultivate copepods for him? I have some of them in a separate bucket with air flow and am feeding them flake food? Is that fine?

I think you probably should have waited a bit and got the feeder/more stable copepod population built up before you bought a mandarin. However, PaulB does have some good threads on the forum about his mandarin feeder. A quick search either on the forums or on google for 'PaulB mandarin feeder' will probably pull up the same information.

I put pvc in my sump, a couple peices around 6 inches long. Cap off one end and drill a couple holes in it. I usually dump them in a glass every two weeks. If you have a sediment filled sump, let it settle out and only dump the top off into display. Good luck
