Is this light good for anemones/corals?

Looking at getting a couple anemones in the next week. Thinking about a bulb, and rose bulb. Not getting any corals anytime soon, just want to know for future reference. Thanks.

How long has your tank been setup? Are you using RO/DI water? Do you have a ATO?

Tank has been set up for 8 months now. Using RO/DI water for top off and mixing saltwater. I do have an ATO.

That's the light I just setup, and of course added pulsing xenias star polyps and mushrooms the same day. No shock, no problems, target feeding has helped as well as great water conditions but this light looks great and seems to be serving well. But a word of warning i have only been in salt for a month or two

everyone is going to LED so they must be working. I am afraid to try LED's I have always had big success with metal halides. Its all about replicating nature as closely as as you can right? when I look at an aquarium with a bright white light I think "yeah that's what they need" When i see tanks with dark blue lights i wonder how the corals are surviving, my guess is not as well as they could be with a brighter light. LED's in my opinion are just for accent and making your corals glow. If you want big fluffy corals that grow so well they fight each other for space then you want a strong MH with a lower spectrum. when i started it used to be 6500k bulbs only, the idea was that when you burn a MH bulb the kelvin degree goes down with time so with a 6500 degree k most of its life will burn at close to the suns kelvin which is at 5500. The 14k and 20k bulbs look cool but I think they wont thrive as well. Maybe iam wrong but why move away from what works, and MH bulbs work. I run 10k bulbs now HQI's

I used to have MH bulbs last time I had my tank going. They made my tank way hotter than the Leds. My temperature only fluctuates a degree or 2 now. Thanks for the info.

It says this light has 8000k/12000k white and 445nm/460 nm actinic blue.

120degree lens and very low watts. I would not get them for anything other then fish only.

If you're on a budget look at reefbreeders or ocean revive led fixtures.

I had 2 of these on a 36" tank and now they languish in a closet, not powerful enough for corals. haven't changed my signature yet but I got 2 Chinese LED's and my corals are growing well now.

I run a reefbreeder photon 48 on my 120. No complaints here.

On all of them I would reduce the output a lot especially when first adding them and slowly ramp them up but I wouldn't go 100% at all which will also allow them to last longer.
