DO NOT wrap your tank in total darkness if you have sand-sleeping fish.
Certain snails and hermits will kill them while they are deeply asleep. Room ambient light is as low as you should go in anti-cyano treatment if you have this sort of fish in the tank: gobies, some wrasses, dragonets, etc. If your fish sleeps where crabs and snails operate (worms are no danger) the fish will be eaten alive.

Current Tank Info: 105g AquaVim wedge, yellow tang, sailfin blenny,royal gramma, ocellaris clown pair, yellow watchman, 100 microceriths, 25 tiny hermits, a 4" conch, 1" nassarius, recovering from 2 year hiatus with daily water change of 10%.
