Micro bubbles?

What's the best way I can minimize micro bubbles? I've noticed a decent amount in the tank

You need to find the source. They are coming from either an air leak in your return plumbing (must be plugged), cavitation in your return pump (remove any grates or pre filters), the output of your skimmer (position the output in the opposite direction of the return pump) or your drain pipe (extend the pipe so that it terminates an inch below the water level in the sump or add a filter sock). I'm also assuming you have a bubble trap installed in your sump.

Sorry for late response. Kept trying to put some time to respond.

I currently do not have a sump, unable to fit one underneath

My filter is a HOB
My protein skimmer is a HOB

I've noticed it coming from my protein skimmer but I can't find a way to control the bubbles and or minimize it either.

Hope that better explains my situation

How old is your skimmer? My CPR HOB spit out microbubbles for the first week it was running.

Get a piece of filter floss and put it where your water is outputting from the skimmer.

Is the skimmer new?
If so they should go away shortly, couple days to a couple weeks.

Only issue with that is I see my water build up inside the skimmer.

Currently using a filter sponge

What type of skimmer is it? I know with mine I ended up putting a sponge over the outlet part so it broke down the bubbles before it got to the tank. I have the reef octopus bh 1000!

All I know is that it's a CPR bakpak skimmer

Hopefully that helps

Yeah i'm not familiar with that model. However try using some type of sponge to break the bubbles up in the skimmer before it reaches the tank.
