Hermits - big vs small trade in?

Do you trade in your hermits once they get to large for smaller ones? I feel like my blue legged dwarf hermits don't eat hair algea anymore since they have gotten bigger. My LFS said he recommends trading them out once they get to big as they don't do as good of a job of getting into all the small cracks.

No reason to do it. Dwarf hermits don't get that big.. by the time they're collected they're full grown withen a month or two, depending on food and shell supply of course.

Any larger species like blue knuckles are mostly just for show rather than CUC.
