Powerhead Pondering

Fellow Reefers,

I am looking for flow for my 200g Deep dimension build. The pump that has really caught my attention after seeing one at my LFS is the maxspect gyre 150. After doing some digging I have discovered that this pump is not yet compatible with the Apex controller. I have also found that this pump is severely incompatible with small grazing snails. I plan on using the Apex controller at some point and I like the idea of having snails inhabiting my tank that reproduce on their own and control algae (unless this is a bad call for other equipment). I have looked a lot at the Ecotech MP series of pumps. These seem to be time tested and good pumps. There is also a product coming out made by the makers of the Apex, the Wav powerhead.

Questions:
1. MP40 or 60 for 200g DD?
2. Do the modes on the ecotechs work better with multiple MPs or just one okay?
3. Wait for the maxspect to get better and work out their apex compatibility?
4. Wav cool?
5. Little breeding snails, bad idea?

Thanks!
Eric
