green star polyps

Does anything eat them? i got some free a few months ago and its spreading pretty fast. i do not want to remove the rock is there something that will eat them?? i dont have any other coral so thats not a factor.

Should be able to peel them of the rock.
They grow on a mat.

yea ive seen the purple mat just didnt know how easy it was to peel off.

Same here they are happy but purple mat is not growing either. You should be happy that they're growing lol

GSP like somewhat dirty water, so if your SPS are happy, that's probably why your GSP aren't. Count your blessings.

i dont feel like my water is dirty.. i do biweekly 25% water changes and all my levels have been good. though something id note is that i like to run my sg high at 1027-1028

By somewhat dirty, basically I'm saying they probably wouldn't like an ULNS. These are the cockroach of the reef. They WILL find a way.

I've got a patch I keep isolated on a little bit of rubble. I thought I was safe until one day I was observing the tank, and saw a GSP polyp floating past in the current. I'm sure somewhere in my rock, lurking in the shadows, lies the foundations of a colony that will take over my rock scape.

well even cockroaches have predators.. i go back to my first question.. does anything known eat them?

I'd think any fish that readily ate coral would enjoy them.
