TerryPerc's Nuvo SR80

I figured I should get a thread going on this. So here's the equipment list...

Lighting: 2 165w ebay LEDs for now until I decide my permanent lighting.
Flow: 1 Ecotech MP40WQD and 1 MP10ES
Skimmer: Hydor slimskim
Control: Neptune Apex

Livestock: 1 true percula clown and 1 mochavinci clown
1 starry blenny
3 bangaii cardinals
1 purple tang
1 regal tang

Enough of all the boring details let's see some pictures

Well as I always felt maintenance is easier but I don't like the look haha Once it gets some corals growing on the bottom it won't be that bad.

I have my old MP10 all the way at the bottom behind the rocks keeping any detritus suspended and off the bottom. Works like a charm.

So far happy with the rock I used. Carribsea life rock offers all the benefits of dry rock while adding a great natural look out of the box. No pests, great look and a quick cycle at an affordable price. It's worth a look if anyone is planning a new tank and wants to try something new.

It's been a hot couple days but no issues, central air will finally be installed shortly. For now a good ol fan blowing air over top has done the trick.

I guess I'll say I'm surprisingly delighted. I mean they are far from the nicest lights I've ever owned, they certainly lack a lot of qualities you usually look for in LEDs, these particular ones are just dimmable not controllable. They are certainly not sleek or sexy. However they are powerful, seem very well made, the color spectrum is okay and the color blend isn't as terrible as I expected, there's certainly not a discoball effect but it's not nearly as well blended as a Kessil fixture either. All in all for the price they are definitely viable lighting options. I still don't plan on keeping them long term though so they definitely haven't won me over.

Very beautiful, the selection of Zoa's that you have is top notch. Love the tank as well, I was debating on getting one of these. I cannot wait to see future updates!

What type of corals are you going to put on the BB? Love the tank coming along nicely.

As of right now I really am still unsure. I keep debating between montis and chalices.
