Toadstool trouble shedding

I've had a toadstool that has seemed like he's trying to shed for months now, but just can't seem to complete the task. He's got the bluish gray color all across the top part, and has been that way for probably 2-3 months, not realy sure. It's definantly tougher than it normaly would be. The polyps come out, but not very far, maybe 1/8" or so, and seems like maybe a third of them come out just enough to break the surface. Is there anything I can do to safely help him along with the shed?

what sort of flow is he in? they need flow to help with shedding. try moving it to a higher flow area. don't do too much experimenting, just find a spot with higher flow and leave him there. they will stay ticked off if you handle them too much.

Current Tank Info: i gave my reef away and i feel like a bird out of a cage!!

Thank you, I will adjust my powerheads to give him some more flow to see if that helps. Right now, I'd call it medium-low flow.

in addition to better flow, an occasional light turkey baster-ing (I think I'm creating a verb here) to help blow stuff off helps. But only in addition to adequate flow. Mine seems to appreciate a little extra help when he starts shedding.

+1 more flow. Mine sometimes takes a week or more to successfully shed but once it does it looks wayyy better than it did before
