auto top off
I have been using a diy gravity fed top off, using a five gallon water jug. It keeps collapsing in so I was looking to just buy an auto top off, but honestly I'm really confused. Do these just hook up to a water reservoir and use a pump, float switch or both? I don't want to run directly from my rodi into my tank. Any info you can share is appreciated as I continue to read up on my options.

I use hydor smart level ATO along with a toms aqua lifter pump and a 5 gallon bucket. Here is a video that will show what all it does.

You will need to have a float(s) unless you have a controller and you can program it to run a certain amount each day
I have had a JBJ ATO and now have a Spectrapure UPLC-II which I love, simple to set up and can be run over long lengths if needed due to using a peristaltic pump |

I use autotopoff.com dual float switches and a masterflex economy drive w/ precision tubing.
My controller turns the RO on and off as needed to refill the storage vat via a solenoid valve.
