Question Brooklynella Fallow Period and quarantining

Hello! I have a couple questions for yall! A while back, I had my first fish in my tank die from Brooklynella. My tank has been fallow for 43 days now. I recently ordered 2 clowns with my LFS and they're going to quarintine them and dose them with copper for 2 weeks (they do this will all thier livestock).

My questions are:
1. How long is the fallow period for brooks? I've heard anywhere from 2-12 weeks, with 6-8 weeks being what I've heard most. Does anyone have personal experience reintroducing livestock to a system after a brooks outbreak? I can pick my fish up 55 days into the period, is that enough?
2. Is it necessary to quarantine them further than the 2 weeks with my store? I have a small quarantine set up and cycled that I can use to observe them. If so, how long should I keep them in quarantine?

I'm thinking 1 week in quarantine on my watch while the tank gets more fallow time.

Thanks in advance!

1 week is not enough time. Go over to the fish disease forum for more information

The link has some info on Brook. it is from the fish disease forum.

I only trust myself to QT. I would not even consider letting a LFS say they have QT my fish.

Fallow period is six weeks. LFS do not quarantine and two weeks is not sufficient.

i had the same thing and left my tank empty for 8 weeks and after the disease i purchased the aqua uv from Premium aqua. that would help assist and left it on for a few days at a time at the correct kill rate. I know some believe in them and some don't but to each their own. As i started restocking my tank over the next few weeks i didnt notice any signs of any disease. It's been months now and eveything looks good.
